Qualification:
July 1990 to July 1998: Five pass marks in SA Higher Grade subject equivalents in the senior high school diploma and a minimum score of 365 in the national Chinese University Entrance Examination

OR

As from 1999: Five pass marks in SA Higher Grade subject equivalents in the senior high school diploma and a minimum score of 550 in the national Chinese University Entrance Examination

OR

As from 2003: Five pass marks in SA Higher Grade subject equivalents in the senior high school diploma and evidence of eligibility for admission to degree studies at a Committee of University Principals approved Chinese university with degree awarding powers

Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate

Is considered comparable to GCE Advance Subsidiary (AS) Level/ Scottish Higher standard

Every subject passed may be considered at least comparable to GCSE grades A*-C, with the exception of English language. English is studied as a second language and is not considered comparable to English language GCSE Studied in the UK.
