34. Completion of outstanding requirements by candidates who sat their examinations in previous dispensation

1. A candidate who, in terms of the requirements and conditions applicable before the introduction of the provisions of the differentiated education system and of the regulations applicable at that stage, qualified to satisfy the outstanding requirements for a matriculation exemption certificate at a subsequent examination or examinations without having to repeat the full examination, shall be allowed to satisfy the outstanding requirements in terms of the provisions of paragraph 6.4 of the regulations of the Matriculation Board as published in Government Notice R323 of 18 February 1983; or

2. a candidate who, in terms of the requirements and conditions applicable before the abolition of the M Level examinations and who qualified to satisfy outstanding requirements for a certificate of complete exemption, shall be allowed to satisfy the outstanding requirements in terms of the provisions of paragraphs 14 and 26 of the regulations as published in Government Notice 1586 of 28 November 1997.
