Fraud hotline
Universities South Africa has created a fraud hotline into which any fraudulent activity identified may be reported. Examples of fraud are theft (taking, using and keeping company property without permission); fraud (falsifying information for personal or other gain); bribery (the act of giving money or gifts to influence the behaviour of the recipient, or of receiving money or gifts in exchange for specific favours for the benefit of the entity from whom money or a gift is received); misconduct (improper conduct driven by a specific motive); nepotism (a practice of those in positions of influence, of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs or business opportunities).

The hotline is administered by Deloitte and Touche. All calls and information reported are treated with anonymity.
