31. Certificate of conditional exemption by virtue of a certificate issued by the senate of a university
1. The Committee of Principals shall issue a certificate of conditional exemption to a person who, in the opinion of the senate of a university, has demonstrated, in a selection process approved by that senate, that he or she is suitable for admission to bachelor’s degree studies, which certificate shall be valid for admission to that university only.
2. Where the senate of a university certifies that the holder of a certificate of conditional exemption issued in terms of this paragraph has completed one full credit of instructional offerings, the Committee of Principals shall issue a certificate of complete exemption to him or her, dated from the first day in January of the year in which the first degree credit was obtained.
3. Where the senate of a second university requests this, in respect of a candidate transferring to that university, a certificate issued in terms of subparagraph 1. shall be amended to be valid for admission to the second university.
