35. Certificate of conditional exemption issued in terms of the provisions of paragraphs 24, 25, 26, 27

1. The holder of a certificate of conditional exemption issued in terms of paragraphs 24, 25, 26 and 27 who, during the period prescribed by paragraph 32, satisfied the conditions mentioned on the certificate and obtains at a South African university a credit for a bachelor’s degree with a minimum prescribed full-time duration of three years, for which a matriculation endorsement or a certificate of exemption is a prerequisite, shall be deemed to be a student who is in possession of a certificate of complete exemption as from the commencement of such period and the Committee of Principals shall issue a certificate, dated accordingly, to him or her.

2. If the holder of a certificate of conditional exemption satisfied the conditions mentioned on the certificate during the period prescribed by paragraph 32.1 and 32.4 but obtained no credit for a bachelor’s degree at a South African university during such period, the Committee of Principals shall issue a certificate of complete exemption to him dated from the first day of the month following the date on which he or she obtained a pass in the outstanding subject.

3. a. If the holder of a certificate of conditional exemption does not satisfy the conditions mentioned on the certificate during the period prescribed by paragraph 32.1, the certificate shall be deemed to have lapsed; and

2. A person referred to in subparagraph a may again apply in terms of paragraph 32.4 for the renewal of his or her certificate of conditional exemption, and if such certificate is thus renewed, he or she shall be allowed to register for further instructional offerings at a South African university.
