32. Period of validity of certificates of conditional exemption

1. A certificate of conditional exemption issued in terms of paragraphs 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 shall be deemed to have lapsed, but may be renewed each year on application if the holder of the certificate does not satisfy the outstanding requirement.

2. A certificate of conditional exemption issued in terms of paragraphs 28, 29 and 30 shall be deemed to have lapsed if the holder thereof does not satisfy the outstanding requirement for exemption within a period equal to the minimum prescribed full-time duration for the relevant bachelor’s degree plus two additional years calculated from 1 January of the year in which the holder registers for a bachelor’s degree at a university.

3. A certificate of conditional exemption issued in terms of 31 shall be deemed to have lapsed if the holder thereof does not satisfy the outstanding requirements within a period of three years calculated from 1 January of the year in which the holder provisionally registers for a bachelor’s degree at the relevant university.

4. A person whose certificate of conditional exemption has lapsed, may again apply for a certificate in terms of the relevant provisions of paragraphs 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38.
